EPS CONTROL UNIT UPDATE
Special Tools Required
MVCI unit with the latest control module (CM)
update software installed

1. EPS Control Unit - Update
NOTE: Check any official service website for more information about updating
the MVCI and control
units
READ NEXT:
NOTE: The indicator comes on when the reprogramming fails.
1. Problem verification:
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
Check the EPS indicator.
Does the EPS indicator come on, then go off?
YES

1. EPS system check:
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
Disconnect the following connectors.
EPS control unit connector B (6P)
EPS control unit connector C (2P)

1. Fuel Fill Door - Adjust
Slightly loosen the hinge mounting bolts (A)
Adjust the fuel fill door (B) in or out until it is flush with the body,
and
up or down as necessary to equalize the gaps
Tighten the hinge mounting bolts
Make sure the fuel fill door opens properly and locks
Shift to Test Mode 1
Check the PCM for DTCs and troubleshoot PCM or F-CAN loss of communication
errors first, then do this
diagnosis if the HDS is not available.
1. Check the No. B21 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and the No.
C34 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash
