Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then to the ON mode.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Before update the gauge control module, make sure the 12 volt battery in
the vehicle is fully charged, and
connect a 12 volt jumper battery (not a battery charger) to maintain system
voltage.
