TESTING
AWD CONTROL UNIT INITIALIZATION (AWD)
Procedure
NOTE:
Whenever the AWD control unit is replaced, it must be initialized.
Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface.
1. HDS - Connect

Rear Differential Clutch Test (AWD)
Test
1. HDS - Connect
2. Rear Differential Clutch - Test
Block the front wheels (A), raise the left rear wheel, and support it
with a safety stand (B) as shown
Release the parking brake.
Hold
Rear Differential Pressure Test (AWD)
Test
NOTE: Before doing the pressure test, check the following conditions.
Check that the AWD system indicator does not come on. If it does, check
for AWD with intelligent control system DTCs.

Throttle Body Removal and Installation
Removal
Do not insert your fingers into the installed throttle body when you turn the
vehicle to the ON mode, or while
the vehicle is in ON mode. If you do, you will seriously injure your fingers if
the throttle valve is activated.
NOTE: If you are replacing the throttle body, start at 1st proced
Inclination Sensor Initial Learn Procedure (CVT)
Procedure
NOTE:
The inclination sensor initial learn procedure must be done with the HDS
when:
The PCM is replaced.
The inclination sensor is removed/installed, or replaced.
The inclination sensor malfunction occurs.
